1700s Danish Oak Iron Trunk

Condition Notes:
In great vintage condition with wear consistent with the age and use of the trunk. There are many shallow scratches, scuffs and discoloration throughout the whole piece from centuries of use. One of the iron backstraps is broken (see photos for example). There are both loose and missing nails (see photos). There are some cracks to the oak and a fair amount of wear at the base of the trunk (see photos). There is a hole at the base of the trunk which can be seen from the interior (not photographed). The trunk was only cleaned and polished but much of the wear and damage of the trunk was kept to keep the integrity of this 300+ old trunk. More photos can be provided upon request.
