A 1950s Model 1305 foot stool designed by Paul McCobb (1917-1969), American furniture designer, for his furniture line, Planner Group, and made by Winchendon Furniture Company. Paul McCobb had a definitive American style influenced by Shaker and Windsor style furniture and the use of wrought iron and maple combined with his sleek and low aesthetic. This footstool is sometimes referred to 'All Round Square' which can be seen by the square form with all of the rounded corners. This particular footstool has been newly upholstered in this stripped fabric.
Notes:
The seat has new fabric, foam, and the springs have been replaced as needed. The iron frame has some minor wear consistent with the age of the foot stool.
